Ant and Tess Barber will give you and your children a life-changing experience as all get involved in the running of a game reserve. View wildlife from open vehicles – which they may even learn to drive, on foot or by horseback.  Each day is a special adventure with surprise picnics, sundowners at Ant’s favorite viewing spot and the adventure of a private reserve. Children of all ages are welcome to join parents or can be taken out separately.  Toys and games are available to keep young ones occupied between activities at the beautiful pool and manicured gardens. Special food and meal times can be arranged and children may to come to supper in their dressing gowns.

Melton Manor (a member of Relais & Chateaux) is a beautiful new lodge with four en suite bedrooms, as well as a private butler, private chef and of course its own game ranger and vehicle for game activities.

Your plane touches down at the edge of the Kalahari Reserve and all your senses awaken to the silence and nothingness of Tswalu’s 1000 square kilometers. It is the most extensive privately owned reserve in South Africa.  Explore sand dunes, game rich savannah, San bush paintings and meerkat dens by open vehicle, on foot, or on horseback.  Drift over the dunes of the Kalahari in a hot air balloon. Then be pampered with world-class spa treatments. 

Your family will stay in the private home built for the Openheimer family - Tarkuni.  It is several miles from the main lodge and completely self sufficient. You will have your own chef, guide and host.  It can hold up to 12 people.  The reserve is particularly child friendly as there are no predators in the area near the lodges. 

Your family will stay in one of the most luxurious properties in Cape Town. This four-bedroom villa is ideally situated above the white sands of Llandudno beach and offers uninterrupted ocean views with mountain scenery as a backdrop. The interior decoration is by fashion photographer Chris Simpson. Activities for your family include a full day peninsula tour with sea kayaking, wineland expedition with cycling, mountain biking, shark watching, and helicopter rides.

In the after-noon you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Arusha.

A representative will meet you in Arusha, and accompany you to the international airport for your connecting flight back to Europe / the US.
