Your plane touches down at the edge of the Kalahari Reserve and all your senses awaken to the silence and nothingness of Tswalu’s 1000 square kilometers. It is the most extensive privately owned reserve in South Africa. Explore sand dunes, game rich savannah, San bush paintings and meerkat dens by open vehicle, on foot, or on horseback. Drift over the dunes of the Kalahari in a hot air balloon. Then be pampered with world-class spa treatments.
Your family will stay in the private home built for the Openheimer family - Tarkuni. It is several miles from the main lodge and completely self sufficient. You will have your own chef, guide and host. It can hold up to 12 people. The reserve is particularly child friendly as there are no predators in the area near the lodges. |
