The camp is a welcoming blend of rustic style and modern comfort designed to make the international traveler feel comfortable in Africa. The tents are all large and spacious, with king sized beds and elegant en suite bathrooms with steaming hot showers and modern toilets. They have a thatched roof over the top, extending to a large verandah, where you can sit and relax. Amboseli is an exciting and diverse game viewing destination and home to over 1,000 elephants, herds of wildebeest, lion and over 300 species of birds. Tortilis Camp offers a wide variety of activities ranging from early morning and mid afternoon game drives, guided game walks led by Maasai guides outside the park and sundowners. Alternatively, you can laze around the pool enjoying drinks and stunning views. The camp is positioned in one of Amboseli’s few remaining areas of unspoiled woodland providing the opportunity to witness the sunset on a hill where you can see miles across the park and feel like you are on top of the world. |
