Sitting on your race horse, you note that there are no fences… only miles and miles of rolling plains, populated by giraffe, zebra and thundering herds of wildebeest.   You can walk peacefully among them or race the fastest with a daring spurt of bravado that is guaranteed to give you a huge adrenaline rush and memories that will keep you coming back.

Your ride can be for an afternoon or for a week.  And even on the rides for the most advanced, there are times to ride quietly and pinch yourself  as you note that yes.. you really are walking in an untouched paradise among creatures you’ve seen only in a zoo.

1.   Ride Kenya: Chyulu Hills, Kenya. Offers beautiful safaris from 3 to 7 days. There are both set and custom safaris.

2.     Off Beat Africa in the Masai Mara, Kenya.  Safaris of 7 or 11 days are led by an Argentine Gaucho. Your tented camp follows you.  This is one of the best tour operators for horseback riding in the Maasai Mara.
