Family Friendly Properties East Africa

AndBeyond has recently announced some great changes to a few of its properties in Tanzania, making them more family friendly. To meet an increased demand for family friendly accommodation, andBeyond have introduced family suites at the popular Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and exclusive Mnemba Island Lodge.  They also now offer a family tent at Serengeti Under Canvas and have changed their child policy at Serengeti Under Canvas to allow children. Children ages 5 and younger are free when sharing with adults.  Children ages 6 to 16 pay 50 percent of the accommodation rate.

Here at Extraordinary Journeys we are thrilled about this development! While in Kenya family friendly properties are the norm, with family suites or cottages, pools and activities geared specifically toward children, family friendly options in Tanzania had been much more limited. The Singita properties in Tanzania such as Sasakwa and Faru Faru have long had family cottages but they were among the few, making the changes to these three AndBeyond properties in Tanzania all the more welcome.

Some of our favorite family friendly properties in Kenya include: Cottar's, Mara Intrepids, Saruni Mara, Borana Lodge and Sirikoi but again there are MANY great family friendly options in Kenya!
